Yachtmaster Offshore Preparation Course starting 5 May 2018
The Yachtmaster Offshore certificate is a comprehensive theory and live aboard course consisting classroom theory and a practical component for sail including the practical on the water examination.
5 till 10 May classroom theory.
11 till 15 May live aboard practical starting/ending at the marina.
The exams will be held the days after the preparation.
Our preparation course is designed to ensure that those who choose to go forward and take the examination have the best possible chance of passing first time. The intensive practical live on board days, are used to practice all manoeuvres also to hone all navigational skills by day and night.
To pass the practical exam, a skipper must display the capability to handle a yacht in all conditions and effectively skipper the boat avoiding all dangers and taking many variables into account.
Certificate Limitations
- Command of a vessel up to a maximum length of 78 ft /24 metres
- Up to 150 miles offshore
- Not for commercial use
